staining
It's easy to choose and add a colour to your wood floor:
If you are renovating your hardwood floor or installing a new floor you have the option to introduce a stain colour once the floor has been properly sanded.
The stain is wiped on with rags and and allowed to dry overnight.
Finish coats are then added over top, locking the stain colour in.
We also lightly sand between coats to ensure the smoothest finish possible.
Note that some species such as Maple and Birch appear uneven or blotchy after site staining and finishing. Click here for an example of site stained Maple.
