We have been installing, sanding and finishing solid and engineered hardwood floors in and around Greater Vancouver for years.

Installing unfinished wood flooring and then sanding and finishing it on site is the traditional way to install hardwood. The difference in the finished look is subtle but never the less very compelling.  Because there is no need for 'V' grooves (micro bevels) between the boards, which is typical for prefinished flooring, the site finished floor appears glass-like and unbroken.  The nature of the sanding process adds a character to the end result.  You feel like you are walking on wood not finish.

Adding a stain colour to the floor is a simple matter of choosing the colour you like.  Adjusting the colour (darker or lighter) is done with you in the home so that you make the perfect choice. Once the sample is approved the whole floor can be stained and finished.
