Water-based finishes
Water-based finishes have improved a lot in recent years and as a result are becoming more popular, they do however, tend to be more expensive than oil-based finishes. The primary difference between a water-based finish and an oil-based one is the final look of the floor—water-based finishes leave the floor with a milky haze, whereas oil finishes tend to leave a deep rich amber look. If you are concerned about drying time, water-based finishes require considerably less drying time than their oil-based counterparts but they do require more coats. Once again at Prestige Flooring we help you to determine which finish is best for your wood flooring and environment.
