We ensure the area to be installed is dry before delivering the hardwood flooring to site.

The hardwood should be stored in the area it will be installed. Ensure the main house heat is on at 20c.
Humidity should be between 40 – 60%.

Each situation is different regarding the recommended amount of time to leave the hardwood on site prior to installation.  We will make that recommendation closer to the time the project is ready to start.

Improper acclimation can lead to gapping or swelling and splitting of your hardwood floor after it is installed.
