Engineered flooring is the preferred choice when installing your floor over concrete or in an area where moisture levels may change, such as below grade, over crawl spaces or car ports.  Most Engineered flooring products are recommended for installation over in-floor heating.  However, you should always check with the supplier before committing to the product. Understand the difference between a 'peeled' and a 'sawn' veneer.  Also consider the thickness of the wear layer that allows for future resands and refinishing.
